Serving Size – 20
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup parsley, chopped very fine
- 1/2 cup finely chopped scallions
- 2 tablespoons horseradish
- 1 (5 1/4 ounce) jar Zatarain’s mustard
- Dash of Tabasco or red pepper sauce
- Lemon juice, to taste
- 2 pounds medium shrimp, boiled, de-veined
Step 1: Mix all ingredients except the shrimp.
Step 2: Fold shrimp in gently to prevent breaking. Marinate for 24 hours.
Step 3: Serve on Ritz crackers, one shrimp to a cracker.
Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs
This recipe for crab meat and deviled eggs makes the perfect appetizer for all of your upcoming holiday celebrations.
Serving Size – 8
- 2 cups jumbo lump crab meat
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/3 cup celery
- Dash of garlic powder
- Dash of Tabasco sauce
- 12 large eggs
Step 1: Boil the eggs in a pot of water.
Step 2: When done, drain off water, peel and cut eggs on a tray.
Step 3: Using a large mixing bowl, add vinegar, then crab meat and remaining ingredients in order.
Step 4: Sprinkle garlic powder to taste, and add a dash of Tabasco sauce.
Step 5: Throw in the egg yolks and mix all together.
Step 6: Place mix in the center of egg.
Step 7: Sprinkle with parsley, chill and serve.
Chicken Curry Balls
Now you don’t have to wait until the day of your party to prepare all the food! You can make these delicious chicken curry balls with almonds and coconut a day in advance. And, they freeze very well.
Makes 3 dozen balls
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 cup chopped cooked chicken
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped chutney
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup blanched slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup grated coconut, or more.
Step 1: Mash cream cheese. Add mayonnaise, chicken, curry, chutney, salt and almonds.
Step 2: Mix well and roll into walnut-size balls. Roll in coconut. Chill.
Cheesy Appetizer Cookies
Looking for an appetizer that’s not too sweet? Well,all of your guests are in for a treat when you serve them these cheese cookies with Rice Krispies.
Serving Size – 2 dozen
- 1 cup sharp shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Rice Krispies
- Dash of ground red pepper
Step 1:Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Chill for an hour or more.
Step 3: Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet and flattening slightly with a fork.
Step 4: Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until slightly browned. Cool slightly before removing to a wire rack.
Ultimate Cheese Ball W/ Pimento & Peppers
The cheddar cheese and cream cheese blended together are what makes this ultimate cheese ball the perfect Christmas party appetizer.
- 16 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped pimento
- 1 tablespoon chopped green bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Dash of cayenne pepper
- Dash of salt
Step 1: Blend cream cheese and Cheddar cheese.
Step 2: Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Step 3: Shape into a ball.
Step 4: Roll in chopped pecans
Sweet and Sour Meatballs
These sweet and sour meatballs covered with sauce make a delicious appetizer for your Christmas party. And, they are so easy to make.
Ingredients for Meatballs:
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
Ingredients for Sauce:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Step 1: Combine sauce ingredients. Pour over meatballs.
Step 2: Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees F. for 45 to 60 minutes, until meatballs are cooked through.
Step 3: Stir occasionally.
Step 4: Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving dish.
Step 5: Serve immediately

Ham Balls with Hawaiian Punch Sauce
This ham recipe can be used an appetizer or it can be shaped into a loaf and served as a main course with the sauce placed over the loaf about 15 minutes before it has finished cooking (1 hour at 350F) with extra sauce on the side
Ingredients for Ham Balls:
- 1/2 lb ham, ground
- 3/4 lb pork, ground
- 2/3 cup quick oats
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
Ingredients for Sauce:
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp dry mustard
- 2/3 cup Hawaiian punch
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 6 cloves, whole
- 1/3 cup dark corn syrup
Preparation for Ham Balls:
Preheat oven to 350F.
Step 1: Combine all ingredients and shape into 1-inch balls.
Step 2: Place on greased cookie sheet and bake about 20 minutes, or until browned.
Preparation for Sauce:
Step 1: In sauce pan, combine brown sugar, flour and mustard, mixing well.
Step 2: Add punch and vinegar and mix well.
Step 3: Add cloves and corn syrup.
Step 4: Over medium heat cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and becomes clear.
Step 5: In chafing dish or crock pot, place ham balls and pour sauce over. Serve with toothpicks.
