This salmon recipe is delicious! When i started eating healthy I was afraid to make salmon for fear I would ruin it.

However, I am so excited about sharing the recipe and method with you so you can get perfect tasty salmon every time.

You can cook the salmon using the recipe below. And, it is  great to serve your family because it is not only super easy to prepare, but also healthy.


  • 1 or 2 Salmon fillets
  • 4 Tbsp.Olive oil (or butter)
  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1: Heat olive oil on med heat just below it’s smoke point. If the oil starts to smoke then lower the heat a bit.

Step 2: Add salt and pepper to taste on the meat side of the fillets and then place meat side down in the hot oil.

Step 3: Cook for 4-5 minutes without disturbing the fillets.

Step 4: Then flip over and add the lemon juice and garlic and cook until internal temp of the fillet reaches 145 degrees (approx 2-5 minutes).

Step 5: Pour a teaspoon of oil from the pan on each fillet to add extra flavor.

Easy Salmon Casserole W/ Cheddar Cheese

This salmon casserole with ketchup and cheese makes a delicious meal to serve anytime of the week, even to the pickiest eater!

  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 (14.75 ounce) can salmon,drained, flaked and bones removed
  • 2 cups instant mashed potato flakes
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Step 1: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

Step 2: Stir in flour and ketchup until smooth.

Step 3: Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add salmon.

Step 4: Prepare mashed potatoes according to package directions.

Step 5: Spoon half into a greased 11-in. x 7-in. x 2-in. baking dish.

Step 6: Top with salmon mixture, remaining potatoes and cheese.

Step 7: Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.

Seared Salmon With Lemon Juice

Looking for a quick healthy meal for dinner tonight? Try this pan seared salmon recipe that’s ready to serve in 15 – 20 minutes.

  • 4 (4 ounce) salmon fillets
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons canola oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 4 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons brown sugar

Step 1: Sprinkle both sides of fillets with salt and pepper.

Step 2: In a large nonstick skillet, cook salmon in oil over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or
until fish flakes easily with a fork, turning once.

Step 3: Remove and keep warm.

Step 4: Combine the water, vinegar, lemon juice and brown sugar; pour into skillet.

Step 5: Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced to about 1/3 cup.

Step 6: Serve over salmon.

How to Grill Salmon Steaks Italian-Style

Invite your friends over & bring out the grill to prepare these mouthwatering salmon steaks with Italian seasoning. But, be prepared, the neighbors will keep coming back for more!

  • 2 salmon steaks
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon crumbled dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Step 1: Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate.

Step 2: Season one side of each steak with the Italian seasoning, thyme,
rosemary, salt, and pepper.

Step 3: Lay the steaks with the seasoned-side down on the prepared grill.

Step 4: Cook on grill until the flesh flakes, turning once, 7 to 8 minutes.

Step 5: Sprinkle each steak with lime juice to serve.

Chef Ramsay also offers the following advice for breaking down a whole salmon:

  • Check that there are no scales left. Brush the skin back from head to tail with the edge of your knife. This will make the knife strokes cleaner.
  • Every time you cut into the salmon, wipe off your knife. A clean knife makes a clean cut.
  • When making your filet portions, the higher you move up into the belly of the salmon, the thinner you slice.

Salmon Cakes W/ Grated Onion

This salmon cake recipe is so quick and simple to make. And, I’ve found it to be a perfect  meal to prepare for my busy weeknights.

  • 1 (14.75 ounce) can salmon, undrained and flaked
  • 1 slice bread, shredded
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Step 1: Mix together salmon, bread, onion, all-purpose flour, egg, salt and

Step 2: Shape into four patties.

Step 3: In a large skillet heat oil over high heat.

Step 4: Cook the patties until browned on both sides, about 8 minutes.

Step 5: Drain briefly on paper towels before serving.

Salmon Dip Recipe

This salmon dip recipe with cream cheese & chopped pimento peppers is perfect to serve at any type of party or just to snack on while watching TV with that special someone.

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimento peppers
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon grated onion
  • 1 (7 ounce) can salmon, drained, bones and skin removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed

Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, butter,
pimentos, parsley and onion;

Step 2: Beat with an electric mixer until smooth.

Step 3: Stir in the salmon and dill.

Step 4: Cover and refrigerate until serving.
