Who Else Wants to Learn How to Prepare Chicken Breast in Oven?

Chicken is one of the most loved dinner foods around and it happens to be one of my favorite foods. Also, it  is extremely versatile and a very healthy choice for your menu. With so many different chicken recipes available, you may be wondering how you can make this simple dish a true culinary masterpiece:

The chicken breast is one of my favorite foods, especially since it contains the least fat and very few calories. If you enjoy chicken breasts, but sometimes find that you can’t think of one more way to prepare this healthy meat, I’m here to help!

Below are several of my favorite chicken breast recipes that are prepared in the oven. So, let’s get started….

Easy Creamy Peppercorn Chicken


  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans  condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet peppercorn gravy mix
  • 1 onion, sliced into thin rings
  • 1 cup water


Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).

Step 2:Place cleaned chicken breasts in a 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish or casserole dish.

Step 3: Arrange the sliced onion pieces evenly on top of the chicken pieces.

Step 4: Scoop the mushroom soup onto the chicken and onions.

Step 5: Mix the peppercorn gravy with water and pour it over the soup, onions and chicken.

Step 6: Cover the dish and bake for 1 hour, stirring the chicken and mixture after 30 minutes.

*If desired, serve over rice or with mashed potatoes.

Sherry Sauce Chicken


  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans  condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans  condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 cup cream sherry
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves


Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step 2: In a 9×13 inch baking dish, combine the cream of chicken soup,cream of mushroom soup, sour cream and sherry.

Step 3: Add the chicken breasts and immerse them in the sauce.

Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven, uncovered, for about 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked through (no longer pink inside).

Easy Deviled Chicken


  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (16 ounce) package herbseasoned dry bread stuffing mix


Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step 2:Melt butter/margarine and mix in a small bowl with mayonnaise and mustard

Step 3: Pour mixture into a shallow bowl or plate.

Step 4: Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 5: Roll seasoned chicken breasts in mayonnaise mixture, then dip in mixed herbs and
place in a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours.

Rosemary Chicken


  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt free Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary
  • 1 onion, finely diced


Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step 2: Place chicken breasts in a 9×13 inch glass baking dish with a cover.

Step 3: Add oil, salt, and Cajun seasoning.

Step 4: Mix with your hands until chicken pieces are evenly coated.

Step 5: If using fresh rosemary, chop and sprinkle over chicken.

Step 6: If using dried rosemary, crush with hands and sprinkle over chicken.

Step 7: Using your hands again, mix together coating chicken evenly.

Step 8: Lay diced onions on top of chicken.

Step 9: Cover dish and bake in the preheated oven until onions are caramelized and the chicken is brown and cooked through (juices run clear), about 25 to 35 minutes

Caribbean Coconut Chicken


  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 onions, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped roasted garlic
  • 1/2 (14 ounce) can coconut milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flake


Step 1: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

Step 2: In a large skillet, fry chicken breast in vegetable oil until the chicken just begins to brown.

Step 3: Stir onions, green bell peppers and red bell peppers into the skillet with the chicken.

Step 4: Saute until the onions are translucent.

Step 5: When the vegetables are translucent, stir in the garlic and coconut milk.

Step 6: Let the mixture cook 5 to 8 minutes before removing the skillet from the heat.

Step 7: Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Step 8: Transfer the mixture to a 9×13 inch baking dish and bake in a 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) oven for 45 minutes, or until the vegetables cook down and the chicken is tender.

Baked Sesame Chicken


  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted


Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Step 2: Place soy sauce in a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Step 3: On a piece of wax paper, mix together the sesame seeds, flour, salt and pepper.

Step 4: Dip the chicken pieces in the soy sauce to coat, then dredge in the sesame seed mixture.

Step 5: Arrange in baking dish in a single layer, then drizzle with melted butter.

Step 6: Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for approximately 40 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender and juices run clear.

Step 7: Baste with drippings once during cooking time.

Step 8: Garnish with extra sesame seeds if desired and serve
