In a short time, Christmas will be celebrated around the world with adults and children preparing & eating heavenly desserts.

I ran across this video of a Christmas recipe prepared by ZaTaTA Yummy and I thought you may want to share it with your child.

Marshmallow Pops Christmas Recipe

Ingredients:

  • About 20 large marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon of oil
  • 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
  • Sticks(depending on Individual, it may differ)
  • Sprinkles:(Christmas peppermint candy or your preference)

Directions:

Step 1 Melt the chocolate chips with oil in a sauce pan over low heat (as low as possible)

Step 2: Transfer to bowl.

Step 3: Coat the tip of stick with chocolate, the put the stick into a marshmallow.

Step 4: Freeze for 10 minutes in the freezer. 

Step 5: Put  the peppermint candy in a double zip lock bag and crush candy into bits.

Step 6: Dip the marshmallows into the chocolate, then shake off the excess.

Step 7: Cover with your choice of sprinkles.

Step 8: If needed, freeze them until harder.

Christmas Plum Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup chopped citron
  • 1 1/2 cups pitted prunes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dark raisins
  • 1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups fine bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • Whipped cream for garnish

Directions:

Step 1:Cream the butter and sugar together in an electric mixer. Beat the eggs in, one at a time.

Step 2: Combine the citron, prunes, raisins, and pecans in another bowl.

Step 3:Add the flour to the fruit and nut mixture and toss together so that everything is coated with flour.

Step 4: Add to the butter and egg mixture along with the remaining ingredients. Blend for 1 minute so that all is incorporated.

Step 5:Grease and flour a souffle dish, about 7 x 4 inches.

Step 6: Add the heavy batter and bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until nicely browned.

Step 7:Serve warm by spooning out or cool and cut into pieces.

Step 8: Garnish with the whipped cream.

Serves 8

Christmas Marshmallow Squares Recipe

Ingredient:

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Few grains of salt
  • 1/3 cup maraschino cherries (half red, half green)
  • 30 large marshmallows cut into quarters
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (or vanilla wafer crumbs)
  • 2 1/2 cups coconut

Directions:

Step 1: Blend together milk, vanilla extract and salt. Add cherries, marshmallows and wafer crumbs.

Step 2: Line an 8- or 9-inch pan with half the coconut.

Step 3: Add marshmallow mixture, spreading evenly over the pan.

Step 4: Top with remaining coconut. Press firmly.

Step 5 :Place in refrigerator for 24 hours to ripen. Unmold and cut into squares.
